“I started crying when I received the letter that I actually got the scholarship, because it was such a big thing. I actually applied for that scholarship three times, to be honest.”

Tuition & fees
Reference estimates, per semester. All students pay the same tuition. Graduation timeline depends on course selection and thesis progress.
From Year 3, students pay per credit enrolled — typically far less than full-semester tuition.
All amounts are for reference only; official university announcements prevail. Last updated: 2026-08-06

How to apply
Find your applicant category below, then go straight to the right application portal. The In Taiwan route is open to Taiwan nationals and to foreign nationals in Taiwan who hold a valid ARC.
These application windows repeat every year. The exact opening and closing dates for the current admissions cycle are published in the official Tunghai University admissions announcement, appear in the banner at the top of this page while applications are open, and can be confirmed on the online application system linked in each row above.
Tunghai undergraduates: prerequisite courses
Tunghai undergraduates in their third year or above, from any department, can apply to take GMBA master's courses early. Credits you pass can later count towards the master's degree, shortening the time it takes to finish.
Who can apply
Tunghai undergraduates in their third year or above, any department. Local, international, mainland Chinese and overseas Chinese students are all eligible.
Once admitted
You become a preparatory graduate student and may enrol in GMBA master's courses early. The pass standard is the same as for master's students.
How credits transfer
Courses passed with 70 or above (B-) count towards the master's degree — thesis credits excluded, and not capped by the university's usual transfer limit.
Courses already counted towards your bachelor's degree cannot be transferred. Apply for the transfer before the add/drop deadline of your first master's semester; one application only.
What to submit
The application form plus an official transcript for all semesters. Deliver to Room M317, College of Management, or email gmba@thu.edu.tw.
For application deadlines, contact the GMBA Office.
↓ Download the formTaking courses early is not admission
Preparatory students still apply for the master's programme alongside everyone else, and only become master's students once admitted. Two things end the arrangement: not graduating within the standard period (double majors, teacher-education programmes and approved dual-degree or exchange study abroad are exempt), and not entering the master's programme in the year you graduate.
Full rules: see the Guidelines for Master's Prerequisite Courses. Questions? gmba@thu.edu.tw, +886 4 2359 0121 ext. 35002.
