From advisor to diploma, step by step
Nine steps in two phases. Open any step for the detail, the forms and the links. The fixed dates are the same every year — see them in the GMBA calendar.
01 Supervision agreement As soon as agreed
Once a professor agrees to be your advisor, fill out the consent form and submit it to the GMBA Office.
↓ Consent form02 Academic ethics education programme Required before step 04
You must pass this online test before you may apply for the oral examination. A score of 85 or above passes, and you get five attempts per day.
03 Thesis topic evaluation 1 month before
One month before the defense, submit your thesis title, abstract, research methods and the evaluation form to the GMBA Office.
Example: for a defense on 25 June, the documents are due by 25 May.
↓ Evaluation form04 Oral examination application 1 week before
Apply through the student system one week before the defense date. Print the application documents, obtain your advisor’s signature and submit them to the GMBA Office. Ask your advisor for the list of oral examination committee members and enter it in the student system.

05 First draft to the committee 1–2 weeks before
One to two weeks before the defense, send the electronic file or a paper copy of the thesis to every committee member, and give the GMBA Office your plagiarism-rate result. The rate must be under 30%.

Revise the thesis following the committee’s suggestions. When it is complete, obtain your advisor’s signature. The plagiarism rate must again be under 30%. Lay the final version out according to the thesis format guidelines.
07 Upload to the National Library Before leaving school
Upload the electronic file of the thesis to the National Library. Your account and password are in your t-mail.
08 Questionnaires and OIR Before leaving school
Log in to the student system and fill out the leaving questionnaire, then the GMBA questionnaire. After that, go to the Office of International Relations.
GMBA questionnaire09 Library copies and diploma In person
Submit two printed copies of your thesis and the “Authorized Agreement for Thesis/Dissertation” to the THU library on the first campus.
Collect your diploma from the Academic Affairs office.
